BULSIM experts joined the Working group for development of a Cybercrime Early Warning System, part of the “International Cyber Investigation Training Academy” “>International Cyber Investigation Training Academy project “Bulgarian Cyber Centre of Excellence for Training Research and Education” with the financial support of the Prevention of and Fight against Crime Programme of the European Union, Directorate-General Home Affairs. The project aims at creating an effective regional model for cooperation between law enforcement, business, academic structures and non-governmental organizations in the field of combating and prevention of cybercrime.
One of the project objectives includes developing a concept and strategy for an early warning system. Effectivemechanisms for information exchange between law enforcement, business, non-governmental organizations, academia and international institutions and cybercrime prevention will be established.
During the project implementation will be conducted a need assessment on the latest cyber security threats in order to define the needs and requirements of the business. As a result a long term strategy and action plan for the early warning system will be developed.
