First National Conference with International Participation “Innovations in Integration of Formal and Informal Education for Talents and Abilities Development”

BULSIM representatives took part in the First National Conference with International Participation “Innovations in Integration of Formal and Informal Education for Talents and Abilities Development – Care of the Scholars, the Institutions and the NGOs”, that was held from 8th to 9th May 2013 in Sofia City. The Chairman of  BULSIM  Mr. Nikolay Tomov showed a presentation titled “Seriously for the “Serious Games”or Where the Science Meets the Art”as a summary of the  same named paper, prepared by three members of the Association – Prof. Dr. Jordan Tabov, Irena Nikolova Ph.D., and Mr. Nikolay Tomov.
The Conference was jointly organized by Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Center for Creative Training Department for Information and Teachers Improvement and the International Organization for Preschool Education, aiming to modernize the content, the approaches and the collaboration among the academic science, the formal and informal secondary, elementary and preschool education.
The short-term goal of the Conference was to exchange experience, to summarize best practices and to form the trends for effective work with students and children in all educational domains, especially in natural sciences. The long-term Conference goal is to combine the efforts of the co-workers in that area by developing an atmosphere of conscientiousness and trust, by forming ideas and partnerships and expanding the opportunities for collaboration with inclusion of international partners from Macedonia, Romania, Turkey, Russia, Norway, Croatia, Italy and others, by sharing information for the developed practices in that domain.
Working sessions at the Conference were the following:

  • Integration of the formal and the informal learning for development of the talent and the abilities of students and children
  • Innovative educational practices adapted to the Bulgarian conditions
  • New areas for collaboration and new subjects for teaching
  • New technologies utilized in the inromal education
  • The informal learning in a family circle
  • Certification of the informal education
