On 21st April 2012 Bulgarian Modeling&Simulation Association – BULSIM introduced its activities by taking part in the “Day of the Open Doors” organized by the Faculty of Physics àt Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The official opening was held by Prof. Alexander Dreischuh. In the agenda were included number of public lectures, discussions and demonstrations in the field of physics, astronomy and aerospace technologies, quantum electronics and lasers, meteorology and geophysics, optics etc.Mr. Nikolay Tomov (Chairman of BULSIM), presented a lecture titled “Applications of Modeling&Simulations in Aero-Space Technologies”. The Association provided also multimedia demonstrations and movies showing achieved results in application of M&S in different mankind activities. The focus was on the virtual human machine interactions, 3D visualization and the usage of artificial intelligence in real projects simulations.At the same event, on behalf of “Cluster Aero-Space Technologies, Research and Applications (CASTRA), in its role of Management Board member, Mr. Nikolay Tomov also showed presentation on “Micro and Nano-satellites and their Applications, accentuating on the importance of the Bulgarian aerospace activities for development of common European identity, integration and high-technology Economics of Knowledge and Innovations.
